MBLAQ’s Lee Joon’s mother busts out a comedic side on MBC’s “Bouquet” @ 7:42 AM

On May 29th, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon guested on MBC’s “Bouquet” with his mother, who’s also a music professor at Myungji University.

Lee Joon confessed, “My mom once told me don’t go around singing.” Jokingly shocked, panelists asked his mother, Son, why she would say something like that to her son, who’s a singer.

Son retorted, “I sometimes forget that he’s a singer!” After a burst of laughter from the panel, she continued to explain that as a professor of music, she felt that he lacked some vocal talent.

Later on in the show, she also revealed childhood photos of Lee Joon, along with a hilarious explanation that although he was smart as a kid, his IQ began to drop into the double digits (120 to 98) growing up.

Check out the clips below!

IU stuns with her glowing ladylike appearance @ 7:35 AM

Netizens and fanboys alike are buzzing over a set of photos featuring the ‘nation’s little sister’, IU!

IU recently attended a event for the Samsung Galaxy S 2, and photos of the star were uploaded onto an online community board on May 27th.

Although she carries the nickname, ‘nation’s little sister’, IU stunned her fans when she stepped out as a lady for the event. She’s seen wearing a fashionable outfit that gives off a mature air, thanks to the chic jacket over a black dress. Her slender figure and gentle expressions are definitely attracting a lot of attention, and there’s no doubt that she’ll grab some high-end CFs soon.

Netizens wrote, “You’re becoming thinner and thinner. I hope you’ll rest now”, “How many schedules do you have… please take care of your health”, and “Obviously, IU is the real thing. You’re too pretty”.

IU is currently participating as a regular contestant on SBS’s “Kim Yuna’s Kiss & Cry“.

B2ST performs on Super Junior’s “Kiss the Radio” @ 7:22 AM

On May 20th, B2ST guested on KBS FM’s “Super Junior’s Kiss the Radio” and performed their two comeback tracks, “Rainy Days” and “Fiction” plus their “Beautiful” track.

The boys proved that they didn’t need a fancy spotlight to stand out, as they did just that with their vocals alone (and in casual attire to boot!). If you missed their appearance on last week’s show, be sure to check out their pictures below as well.

F.T. Island returns with ‘Hello Hello’ on Inkigayo @ 7:20 AM

After a long hiatus, the F.T. Island boys kicked off their comeback promotions through today’s episode of ‘Inkigayo‘.

Since it’s their first Korean work in almost a year, the boys aptly named their third mini album, “RETURN”. F.T. Island has been actively promoting in Japan, and still are, to some extent.

Their title track, “Hello Hello” is a fast-paced rock track that records at 200 BPM. With an added acoustic effect, the song is definitely a refreshing rock track that’s perfect for the summer season.

The title and lyrics are about a man who’s unwilling to bid farewell to his lost lover by greeting her with a “hello hello” instead of a “goodbye.”

Check out their comeback below!

In any case, it looks like Dongwoon managed to get one good sel-ca that day, as he later posed with Doojoon, who tweeted:

“With cutie Dongwoon“

SNSD releases 2nd Japanese album teaser @ 6:41 PM

SM Entertainment stunned their fanbase when they released a second teaser for SNSD’s upcoming Japanese album!

It’s a five-minute long clip that gave great insight into what their first Japanese album will hold. Snippets of twelve tracks – eight of them being Japanese originals – were played over some psychedelic images that tripped us out at first, but we eventually appreciated the step away from the typical ‘cutesy’ image associated with the girls.

Without further ado, check out the teaser below!

B2ST unexpectedly wins on KBS’s Music Bank with “On Rainy Days” ballad! @ 6:33 PM

It’s only been a week since B2ST made their official comeback with their first full album, “Fiction And Fact“, and the boys were pleasantly taken aback when they were awarded first place on this week’s KBS’s Music Bank K-Chart for their ballad song, “On Rainy Days“, rather than for their actively promoted title track, “Fiction“.

“On Rainy Days” was released a few days before the official release of their album, and it quickly became an instant hit on various music charts, as many listeners acknowledged the group’s vocal ability powering the song’s soothing, addictive melody.

After their K-Chart win this week, B2ST expressed to allkpop through Cube Entertainment, “We were extremely happy after our win with ‘Fiction’ yesterday, but this win is a lot more meaningful as it’s the first time we’ve won an award for a song that’s not our title track. To think we received first for two of our songs in just a week, all we can say is how thankful we are. We will thrive to work even harder.”

Congratulations to B2ST on their win!

Loen Entertainment explains IU’s “poor” performance on Kiss & Cry @ 1:26 AM

On the May 22nd episode of SBS’s “Kim Yuna’s Kiss & Cry“, singer IU displayed her figure skating skills.

She wore a cute, pink dress and even did a cute wave dance to her hit song “Good Day” and Aqua’s “Cartoon Hero“. In the middle of her performance, IU suddenly fell on her knees, but she immediately got up and finished her performance with a youthful heart.

After the broadcast, Netizens stated, “I think there is a reason behind IU’s low score” and “I’m disappointed in her less-than-perfect stage” – revealing their opinions that IU didn’t practice enough for the performance.

On May 23rd, an official from IU’s agency, Loen Entertainment, revealed, “In the past two months, IU’s schedule was very busy and packed. Even with her killer schedule – including schedules overseas and schedules in the country – IU put her heart into practicing her figure skating. There are many times when IU either got up extra early to go to the practice arena or even went late at night even though her body was simply exhausted.”

The official added, “It’s true that overall her practice time was lacking compared to the other participants, but it’s disappointing to see that, even though she made spare time to practice, IU’s efforts are being discolored. She will continue to do her best on the program.”

Meanwhile, the first episode of “Kim Yuna’s Kiss & Cry” aired on May 22nd. The viewers commented, “It appealed to me more than other variety shows because I was able to see the stars’ truthful side”, “It’s good to see the stars work hard amidst their busy schedules”, and “I look forward to the transformations that the stars will be displaying through the program.”

Chansung enthusiastically commented about their catchphrase “Beastly Idols”, “This is a great honor. Rather than just the Beastly Idol image, we believe we can show a variety of images to everyone in the future”.

A few days ago, the group held their first nationwide tour “2PM 1st JAPAN TOUR 2011 “Take off””. Due to the overwhelming response from fans, the group added an additional performance at the Makuhari Messe Event Hall in Chiba. Junho happily said, “I felt really moved that we were able to add another performance thanks to all of our fans”. Chansung then chimed in calmly, “I’m really happy that the Japanese food I ate during this tour was really delicious”.

Moreover, the group was asked which Japanese word/phrase they’ve remembered lately. Taecyeon said, “killing two birds with one stone”, Nickhun said, “I’m happy thanks to all of you”, Wooyoung said, “Stylish”, Junho said, “Fluffy”, Junsu said, “Chuutoro (medium-fatty tuna). Not ootoro (quality tuna), but chuutoro.” and Chansung finished up with, “comfortably”. Each of their responses caused the venue to really liven up.

In addition, the group will be making an appearance at “JYP NATION in Japan 2011” at Saitama Super Arena on August 17th and 18th.
