G-Dragon reveals that he would’ve dated T.O.P. if he were a girl @ 7:41 AM

VIPs are positively fan-girling over a recent confession made by Big Bang’s G-Dragon. The star recently guested on SBS FM’s ’Park So Hyun’s Love Game‘, and revealed that if fellow member T.O.P were a girl, he would’ve dated him without hesitation.

During the mini-talk portion of the radio program, DJ Park So Hyun asked, “Out of all Big Bang members, who is the ‘homme fatale’?“. All members pointed to T.O.P. for being the most fatally desirable.

G-Dragon elaborated, “I almost fell for T.O.P. While we’re traveling in the car, he plays jokes on me. But he’s really charming… If he were a girl, I would’ve dated him right then. He’s just that charming.”

Seungri added, “We parodied ‘Secret Garden‘ recently, and I had a kiss scene with T.O.P. His manners were really good during filming. I wondered what women would feel if I felt that as a guy.”

T.O.P. agreed on his deadly charms, saying, “Yes. I’m the most innocent out of the members… I think.”

T.O.P was also picked as the guy with the ‘most sense of justice’, while Seungri was picked as the member with the most celebrity numbers on his cell phone. G-Dragon explained, “Seungri has the most numbers, without a doubt. Even if the four of us added up our numbers, it wouldn’t even be 100, but Seungri really has a lot.”

The members shared the results of their ‘ramen battle’ as well, revealing that Daesung won over T.O.P. easily.

Daesung revealed his secret, “When the water is still cold, you should put in the soup base. T.O.P. lost even after using a special pot“. T.O.P. said, “I put too much red pepper paste and failed. I was trying to be special… and lost.”

SMTOWN LIVE in Paris confirmed for June! @ 7:39 AM

SM Entertainment’s massive in-house concert, “SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR“, will finally have a stage in Europe!

On April 20th, SM Entertainment revealed, “‘SMTOWN LIVE’ gathered much success and interest from foreign fans during the concerts in Seoul, LA, Tokyo, and Shanghai. Therefore, this upcoming June 10th, we are planning to meet our French music fans at the ‘Le Zenith de Paris’ venue in Paris, France.”

SM Entertainment is the first Korean entertainment company to hold a collaborative concert in Europe. The venue where they will hold the concert is famous for hosting concerts from international superstars like Ne-Yo, The Pussycat Dolls, and the Jonas Brothers.

BoA will not be attending however.

SM Entertainment stated, “From the Paris concert, we plan for our company’s artists’ to have more global activities – surpassing Asia and extending into America and Europe – by taking advantage of a wide variety of networks.”

So, if you plan on being in Paris in June, don’t miss out on this ground-breaking event!

CNBLUE’s Yonghwa clarifies his scandal with KARA’s Hara + f(x)’s Sulli? @ 7:29 AM

CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa recently guested on KBS’s “Happy Together 3” and personally clarified his scandal with KARA’s Goo Hara.

Recently, pictures of the two looking affectionate caught the attention of netizens, which naturally brought about rumors of dating. When asked about the scandal, Yonghwa emphasized that they were just friends by stating, “I got close with her through a variety program. The picture was taken when we hadn’t seen each other for a long time, so we felt really glad to see each other and fooled around a bit.”

He continued, “Hara just lightly hit my chest, and someone happened to take a screenshot right at that second, which somehow blew up into full press reports.”

Hilariously, his scandals didn’t end there though, as Dal Shabet’s Serri added, “I once saw Yonghwa hit on not Hara, but f(x)’s Sulli.”

How are girl groups related to different nations? @ 7:23 AM

On April 18th, a topic on an online community board, titled “Comparing Girl Groups’ Nations“, garnered considerable attention. Inside the topic are pictures of SNSD, T-ara, and other girl groups with a country’s flag next to them in relation to their situation.

This netizen started out by putting SNSD with the American flag, the reason being “the strongest in the world right now.” He continued to mention that “KARA could have rivaled SNSD at one point, but they had internal issues.” As a result, KARA is placed next to a picture of the Russian flag, since at one time America and Russia had the most power in the world.

Since Wonder Girls have expanded into overseas nations such as America, this netizen placed them next to a flag of the United Kingdom because it is “a country unbeaten by the ocean,” referring to Britain’s past oversea expansions and spreading English (hook song) to the world.

4minute is known for their sexy performances, and the group is placed next to Brazil for the famous Samba dance.

Due to problems in the past, T-ara has been placed next to the Japanese flag because Japan’s “problems in the past have not been acknowledged,” which drew laughter among netizens.

2NE1 is compared to China because “China is a developing nation that can rival America [SNSD].”

f(x) is compared to Canada because it is still economically dependent on America, miss A is compared to Spain because they are passionate and have a mix of different races, Brown Eyed Girls is compared to France, who has experienced the revolution at home and abroad (internally and externally), while SECRET is compared to Italy due to the big gap between rich (big boobs) and poor (small boobs).

Finally, After School is next to the Indian flag because “India has the the greatest population and economical growth.”

After reading the descriptions, other netizens commented, “The person who made this is very smart” and “Looking past the jokes, the comparisons are appropriate.”

Wheesung gets attacked by an assailant during a performance @ 5:53 AM

Wheesung was recently threatened by an unknown assailant during a live performance, shocking the public just days after Taeyeon’s ‘kidnapping incident’.

On April 19th, a representative from Wheesung’s agency made a statement, “At the time, a man went up to the stage and attacked Wheesung. He considered it as just a minor incident and responded to it calmly and completed his performance.”

The representative continued angrily, “Thankfully, Wheesung was not injured but we did not receive any words of apology from the broadcasting company in charge of the performance. It was not an informal event; it was a rather big performance hosted by a broadcasting company and we wonder why the security was so loose. All singers, not just Wheesung, are participating in minor events around the nation but their security is compromised due to this lackadaisical environment.”

While Wheesung was performing “With Me” on April 8th, the assailant calmly walked onto the stage and tried to kick the singer. Though it was obviously a jarring moment, Wheesung was able to regard the incident in a cool manner, and managed to showcase his professionalism by finishing his performance.

Considering the shock everyone felt after Taeyeon’s abduction incident, Wheesung’s experience caused an increase demand for tighter security.

4minute on writing lyrics, their dance controversy, & follow-up promos @ 5:48 AM

Already three years into their debut, 4minute has been growing every step of the way with each new musical endeavor. Their first official album, “4MINUTES LEFT“, marked the return after a year-long hiatus, as well as their growth as a powerful girl group.

During their latest interview with Sports Today, the first thing the girls said was that they were proud.

Maknae Sohyun stated, “We’ve only released mini-albums up until now, so since this is our first official album, we paid extra special attention to it. There’s not one aspect such as the lyrics, expressions, make up, and performances that we overlooked. Every time people say they like it, our hearts all flutter with excitement.”

She continued, “Our standard charm was the use of strong beats, so we tried to go for something a lot more feminine this time. There’s also an added love story in the lyrics that show a different side to our image.”

Jiyoon and Sohyun both participated in the rap making for “Heart to Heart” and “Mirror Mirror”. Sohyun revealed, “I’ve been practicing for a while now. Shinsadong Tiger oppa gave us a try for this album and praised us a lot during the recordings, which gave me a lot of strength. It was both an amazing and useful experience.”

On their return, HyunA stated, “We rehearsed with the thought of going back to our rookie mindsets. Without missing a day, we rehearsed from 10 PM to 6 AM, and none of us complained because we knew that it was worth it for our first official album.”

Although the response from the public was explosive, the girls also experienced an unexpected controversy with their ’spread leg’ dance.

Leader Jihyun stated, “We were shocked at first because we expected people to highlight another part of our choreography, the mirror dance. Instead, a part that we did not expect at all began headlining.”

As the girls have focused on their international activities for the past year with formidable achievements, the girls have revealed that they will be focusing on their Korean activities this time around.

Sohyun commented, “For now, we’ll be focusing on our Korean activities. Our album was released overseas at the same time as the Korean release, so if our appearance is requested, we might be going back and forth.”

HyunA added, “It’s been a week since our album’s release, and we’re planning to work hard up through our follow-up promotions. We’re working to make sure that we live up to the expectations of our fans, so please look forward to it.”

Coupang releases apology for “Angel Price Music Festival”, will issue full refunds @ 5:43 AM

Social commerce business ‘Coupang‘ has released an official apology regarding the incident that occurred with SNSD’s Taeyeon at the “Angel Price Music Festival“.

Through their official homepage, Coupang wrote:
“First of all, we would like to bow our heads and apologize for worrying SNSD, all of SNSD’s loving fans, and the customers of Coupang.

This music festival was the launching event for ‘Angel Price’, and under Angel Price’s request, Coupang handled the concert’s ticket sales. Unfortunately, Coupang was inadequate in the way we sold and distributed the tickets. There was also an unfortunate incident during SNSD’s performance which disturbed our customers and SNSD’s fans. Due to everything listed above, Coupang will be taking full responsibility of the issue.

As such, everyone who bought tickets through Coupang will get a full refund. We will work our best to make sure that such an incident does not occur again.

We would like to apologize once again for the incident that occurred at the ‘Angel Price Music Festival’, and promise to become a Coupang that works even harder.

Thank you.”

Netizens have been showing a cold response towards the apology, and although Taeyeon herself has stated that she would not be pressing charges, netizens feel that the concert failed to protect an artist that they had invited.

Many have been leaving comments of criticism towards the site, such as, “Money is not the issue anymore, it’s unfortunate that the company is trying to pass the issue over with just a refund”, and “What would they have done if something had really happened to Taeyeon?”

On a lighter note, comedian and the show’s MC, Oh Jung Tae has found himself thrust into the spotlight overnight as he is regarded by SOnes all over the world as a ‘national hero’ for saving Taeyeon from being manhandled even futher during yesterday’s incident.

On April 17th, SNSD was met with an unfortunate accident involving a male audience member who trespassed onto their stage at the “Angel Price Music Festival” at the Lotte World ice rink.

Towards the end of their performance of “Run Devil Run“, a male audience member intruded on their stage from the back and attempted to pull Taeyeon away by grabbing her wrist.

The other SNSD members were caught off-guard, but Sunny reacted quickest and tried to stop him but could not do so. The show’s host, comedian Oh Jung Tae managed to stop the man, and security staff intervened thereafter by apprehending the man and preventing any further accidents from occurring.

Audience members reportedly looked on with shock, and were further impressed with Taeyeon’s professional attitude in returning and performing until the end.

A representative of SM Entertainment stated after the incident, “During the latter part of the event, there was an unexpected accident. Taeyeon, however, handled the matter bravely, and security staff prevented the situation from becoming more severe. At first, the audience and concert representatives all thought that a staff member was going on stage. After the concert, SNSD returned back to their dorms and are currently resting. We’re glad that the incident did not escalate into something more severe.”

With footage and pictures of the incident spreading on the internet, netizens have been posting messages of protest against representatives of the concert.
